A specially researched walk for International Women's Day

In support of International Women’s Day 2020 Willesden Jewish Cemetery organised a special tour of the site, led by House of Life project lead Hester Abrams, focusing on the incredible women buried at the cemetery.

Lily Hanbury - actress

H. Samuel - jeweller

Nina Salaman - translator

Lily Delissa Joseph - painter and Suffragette

Constance Lady Battersea - campaigner for the protection of women and young girls

Eliza Davis - correspondent of Charles Dickens

Rosalind Franklin - pioneer x-ray crystallographer

Dorothy de Rothschild - philanthropist and donor of the Israeli parliament.
